Christy Fisher

Christy Fisher

Christy has 20 years of dance instruction and choreography experience and is currently the Owner/Director of Innovative Movement Dance Company, IMOVE. She and her students have won countless performance, technique and choreography awards at competitions all over the United States and Europe. Many of her students have moved on to receive college scholarships for dance and have been hired for professional work.

Christy currently judges for several national dance competitions at the regional and national level. She travels the country teaching and choreographing for studios and dance teams and enjoys every minute of it. She is Co-Creator and Chair of the widely popular Push the Limit Summer Intensive. Christy resides in Highland with her husband and two children.

Wittni Deters

Wittni Deters

Wittni is from Effingham, Illinois. She has been dedicated to dance since the age of 3. Wittni has experience in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance. During her dance career, she competed as a soloist at an IDTA regional, placing 1st and qualifying for the state competition where she placed 6th in the finals. She has always had the dream of dancing at a collegiate level and made the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville competitive dance team this year.

She is a Theater and Dance major, specializing in dance. Wittni has also been instructing Gymnastics the last four years and has choreographed floor routines for multiple students. Wittni met Christy during her senior year of high school and fell in love with IMOVE. She looks forward to sharing her experience and passion for dance with her students.

Shelby Stallard

Shelby Stallard

Shelby resides in Highland, Illinois. She has been dancing since the age of three, and started dancing with Innovative Movement Dance Company at the age of 11. She has competed in numerous competitions in the following categories: Jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary. Shelby has assisted Christy with choreography for multiple studios/dance teams around the country.

She is currently attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to major in nursing in hopes of later becoming a traveling nurse while specializing in pediatrics.

Kiarra Brimm

Kiarra Brimm

Kiarra Brimm is from Forsyth, Illinois where she started her dance training with Richland Community College at the age of six in many genres of dance. She is currently enrolled at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as a dance major and is a member of the University Dance Company.

She is trained in many styles such as ballet, modern, tap, jazz, and hip hop.

Kiarra plans on earning her personal training certification this spring in hopes of coaching conditioning for dancers.

Gabrielle Bockewitz

Gabrielle Bockewitz

Gabrielle Bockewitz comes to us from the Midwest! She grew up in her mom’s dance studio and that’s where her love of dance began! She knew from a young age she wanted dance to be her career. Growing up, she trained in many styles of dance including, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, and acro.

She attended California State University- Los Angeles after high school and pursued a musical theater and arts degree under the direction of Hae- Kyung Lee, Holly Johnston, and C. Derrick Jones. She later went on to tour with Totally Tap convention and assisted Jim Taylor and Mark Goodman. She performed with Disney for 8 years and has been in several of their touring productions across the globe. She was apart of “Mickey’s Rockin Road Show” that toured nationally and globally!

She opened “Phineas and Ferb The Best Live Tour Ever” as the dance captain. She assisted choreographed and directed Fred Tallaksen on a Disney show “Pirates and Princesses” that toured for several years. She has made appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Live with Kelly, Disney 365, Disney commercials, MTV, and many more.

She currently resides in St. Louis where she lives with her husband and three boys. She’s been a dance educator for 16 years. Her studio has won many regional and national titles and her choreography has won many awards across the US. She currently judges with Star Systems Talent Competition and loves the opportunity to watch kids grow up on the stage over the years. Recently, she has become a faculty member of a new and exciting convention called PHNX. She loves getting the opportunity to teach this generation of dancers and to expand hers and their knowledge of the arts. She loves everything about dance and hopes that anyone who comes out of her classes loves it even more than they did when they walked in!
