Toddler & Combination Classes

Dance, Dance, Dance!

These classes are for children ages 2 to 5. Does your child love to twirl, play make-believe and dress up? Then they will love Dance, Dance, Dance!  Each week your child will hop, skip and twirl through an imaginary adventure! By encouraging your child’s creativity and independence in a fun and supportive atmosphere, you will see your child blossom before your eyes! Dance, Dance, Dance! features unique theme-based classes that will keep your child excited for dance class week after week. It includes fun bonuses to celebrate your child’s success along the way! We offer three different levels for these ever-growing dancers. This class incorporates Ballet, Tap and Jazz. It is vocabulary incorporated and continues to build on primary motor skills to aid in self-assurance and confidence. Dance, Dance, Dance! class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

What do I need for class?

Dance attire (leotard, tights, skirt, leggings, etc.), pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

Combination Classes

Ballet Tap Jazz:
This fun and engaging combination class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz in one exciting class! Dancers will explore basic ballet positions and movements, develop rhythm and musicality through tap, and build confidence and coordination with upbeat jazz combinations. Through age-appropriate exercises, creative
movement, and fun choreography, students will develop balance, flexibility, coordination, listening skills, and a love of dance—all while learning in a positive and encouraging environment.

What do I need for class?

Dance attire (leotard, tights, skirt, leggings, etc.), half soles and black tap shoes.

Hip Hop/Jazz

Hip Hop & Jazz class for young dancers is a fun, energetic class that blends the upbeat style of hip hop with the technique, rhythm, and performance skills of jazz. Dancers will learn age-appropriate choreography while developing coordination, musicality, flexibility, confidence, and body awareness. Classes may include jazz technique, isolations, grooves, across-the-floor exercises, and fun hip hop combinations. The focus is on building strong dance foundations in a positive, encouraging environment while helping young dancers express themselves and have fun!

What do I need for class?

Dance attire (leotard, tights, skirt, leggings, etc.), jazz shoes.

Technique & Master Classes

Ballet

Ballet classes provide age- and level-appropriate training for dancers from beginner through advanced levels. Students build a strong foundation in ballet technique while developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, musicality, and grace. Beginner dancers focus on learning fundamental positions, terminology, posture, and basic movements in a fun and supportive environment. As dancers progress, classes introduce more complex combinations, increased technical demands, and greater emphasis on strength, precision, artistry, and performance quality. Advanced dancers refine their
technique, develop confidence and artistry, and work toward mastering more challenging ballet vocabulary and choreography.

Whether your dancer is taking their first ballet class or pursuing advanced training, our goal is to help every student grow, gain confidence, and develop a lasting love and appreciation for ballet. Class meets once a week for 60 minutes.

What do I need for class?

Black leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes.

Jazz

Jazz class is a fun, upbeat introduction to jazz technique, movement, and performance! Young dancers will learn foundational jazz steps, isolations, stretches, and age-appropriate choreography while developing coordination, musicality, flexibility, strength, and confidence. Through energetic music and engaging combinations, dancers will explore rhythm, movement, and self-expression in a positive and encouraging environment. This class helps young dancers build strong dance foundations while encouraging creativity, personality, and a love of performing.

Class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

Tap

Tap class introduces young dancers to the exciting world of rhythm, sound, and movement! Students will learn fundamental tap steps and combinations while developing musicality, coordination, balance, timing, and rhythm. Through fun exercises, engaging music, and age-appropriate choreography, dancers will learn to create sounds with their feet while building confidence and performance skills. This upbeat class provides a fun and encouraging environment where young dancers can explore their creativity and develop a love for tap dance.

Class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical & Contemporary class combines elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance to encourage dancers to move with emotion, creativity, and expression. Students will develop strength, flexibility, balance, musicality, and control while learning expressive choreography and exploring different styles of movement. Through floor work, turns, leaps, and dynamic combinations, dancers will learn to connect movement with music and tell a story through dance. This class provides a supportive environment where dancers can build confidence, discover their individual artistry, and develop a deeper connection to movement and performance.

Class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

Leaps and Turns

Leaps & Turns classes are designed to help dancers of all levels build the strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and technique needed to execute turns and leaps with confidence and control. Beginner dancers focus on foundational skills, proper alignment, preparation, and safe landing techniques. As dancers progress, they develop more advanced turning combinations, leap variations, elevation, flexibility, spotting, and control. Advanced dancers work on refining technique, increasing consistency, and mastering challenging leaps and turns with greater power, precision, and artistry.

This class is perfect for dancers looking to strengthen their technical skills, improve their performance quality, and take their dance abilities to the next level. Class meets once a week for 45-90 minute.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop class is a fun, energetic introduction to rhythm, movement, and self-expression! Young dancers will learn age-appropriate hip hop steps, grooves, isolations, and choreography while developing coordination, musicality, confidence, and body awareness. Through upbeat music and engaging combinations, dancers will build foundational skills in a positive and encouraging environment. This class encourages creativity, individuality, and a love of dance while helping young dancers feel confident moving to the music and performing with personality.

Comfortable attire for easy movement and sneakers (CLEAN, not worn outdoors).

Pointe

Pointe class is designed for dancers who have developed the strength, technique, balance, and proper alignment necessary for pointe work. Students will build upon their ballet training while learning and refining pointe technique, including barre exercises, center work, strengthening exercises, and age-appropriate pointe combinations. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, alignment, control, strength, and safe progression to help dancers develop confidence and artistry while working en pointe. Pointe placement and participation are determined by the dancer’s readiness and instructor recommendation to ensure a safe and positive experience. Class meets once a week for 45 Minutes.

Black leotard, pink tights and pointe shoes.

Acrobatic & Tumbling Classes

Acro/Tumbling

Our Acro & Tumbling class combines dance movement with foundational acrobatic and tumbling skills. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, body control, and confidence while learning age- and skill-appropriate tricks and progressions. Classes may include skills such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, walkovers, and other tumbling elements as dancers safely progress. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, conditioning, flexibility, and safe skill development. This class is a great way for dancers to enhance their overall performance abilities while building strength, confidence, and a strong foundation in acrobatics. This class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

What do I need for class?

Dance attire (leotard, sports bra, booty shorts, leggings etc.) 2 yoga blocks (size 4″x6″x9″) and a Thera-band.

Pom

Pom class combines energetic dance movement, sharp choreography, and precision with the excitement of pom-style performance. Dancers will develop strong arm motions, clean lines, coordination, rhythm, flexibility, strength, and performance skills while learning fun, upbeat combinations. Students will work on synchronization, jumps, turns, formations, and performance quality while building confidence and teamwork. This high-energy class is perfect for dancers who love to perform and want to develop the precision, power, and personality needed to shine on stage or in a team setting.

What do I need for class?

Half soles and dance attire.

Fee Schedule

Innovative Movement Dance Company offers what I like to call an a la carte approach. With so many of the students wanting to be involved in many activities; such as dance team, cheerleading, soccer, etc., this approach allows them to take class, have a choice as to how many and is at a cost that is affordable. You create your own package!
